Ubahang (Uba) is an illustrator and graphic designer who loves to write/illustrate picture books. He completed his BFA from Kathmandu University and a MA in Illustration from Falmouth University in Cornwall. Currently, he is living and working in Kathmandu.

In 2016 he published his book ‘The Journey/Yatra’, a children's picture book about a water buffalo finding his way home in a rapidly changing landscape. His stories are often told through the eyes of the animal protagonists and at their core reflect the interconnected relationship between the environment and people.

With such stories, he hopes to address a justified concern about the environment’s destruction through urbanisation and industry and our growing insensitivity to nature.
